Research theme
RNA in the cell exists as ribonucleoprotein complex or RNP. We study broad biological phenomena regarding “Life of RNP”, including birth (production), dairy life (functional expression), and death (degradation) of RNP. Current main research themes are: (1) RNA processing and transport, (2) RNA regulation by HIV, (3) Quality control of ribosome particles, (4) Discrimination between long non-coding RNA and mRNA, etc. Anyone is welcomed anytime to see our laboratory.
